Martin McKenna

Martin has worked in a variety of areas - book covers, linework, magazines and computer games.

He may be best known for his work on Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series and his work in Deathtrap Dungeon from Eidos, a company for whom he worked for some time. He also had a long association with Games Workshop.

In 1995 Martin received the British Fantasy Award for Best Artist.

A distinctive feature of Martin's work is a dark realism. No wimsy here. Martin's images are strong and adult in the grown-up sense of the word.

Skilled in painting and computer techniques, Martin can turn his hand to most subjects, on this world or off it. See his material in the Humorous, Game Covers, Linework, Fantasy and Science Fiction pages.

Recent works by Martin are The Dinosaur Planet Omnibus (Anne McCaffrey) and The Sovereign Stone Trilogy (Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman). He has worked extensively for Oxford University Press, Palladium Books and Magic the Gathering.
