Tim White

An artist who needs little introduction, Tim has been at the top of his profession for many years.

His work is known to many from such collections as Chiaroscuro (Paper Tiger) and Mirror of Dreams (Norma Editorial), and from his many paintings for book covers and other media.

Tim is probably best known for the heightened realism of his fantasy landscapes and for his method of juxtaposing the ordinary with the extraordinary - Fire Pattern for example where the sheer ordinariness of the victim's glass of Guinness and packet of rolling papers contrasts with the fire igniting in his vitals.

In Eye of the Cat, what can be more ordinary than the dirt beneath our feet, and yet in Tim's painting it becomes a doorway into worlds of wonder.

Like Keith Scaife, Tim is a skilled model maker and frequently makes models of the chief features of a painting before commencing work on it. This shows in the wonderful sense of realism he can achieve.
